Low-income students make up 75% of the NYC high school population, but only 40% of those offered a seat at a Specialized High School. We aim to make SHSAT tutoring more accessible to families who may not have the resources to spend thousands of dollars on quality test prep services.
Run by students from Stuyvesant High School, many of whom have extensive experience in tutoring, Stuy Prep offers a 6-week, intensive, virtual SHSAT prep program to middle school students at our partner schools. Now in our 8th year of operation, we have assisted hundreds of students on their high school admissions journey. We also welcome prospective volunteer tutors to help us with teaching and curriculum building.
