Program Details
- For our Fall 2025 session, classes are held Saturdays and Sundays from September 27 - November 2.
- You can sign up for one of the two days we offer: 1:00pm - 2:30pm on Saturdays or 4:00pm - 5:30pm on Sundays.
- We are proudly partnered with NYC public middle schools to provide tutoring.
Class Structure and Content
We will cover all topics in ELA and Math needed in preparation for the SHSAT. The program may also serve as enrichment for classroom learning.
- Each class consists of two 40-minute sessions on Zoom, with a 10-minute break in between. In the first Zoom meeting, we will go over the concepts in both ELA and Math. In the second meeting, tutees will be divided into breakout rooms, and tutors will go over content as well as SHSAT practice problems in small groups (3 - 4 students), answering any questions that students may have.
- Light homework will be given after every lesson on Google Classroom to consolidate knowledge. Tutors will grade homework and provide feedback / suggestions to help students understand the questions.
- Tutors are available to help with any difficulty, and can be contacted through Google Classroom or Discord.
- Extra revision packets and enrichment materials will be posted for extra practice and information at the end of the sessions.
